May 2021 – September 2021
This report brought together data collected by organisations, artists and individuals across Wales as part of a development project run by the Wales Culture Alliance (WCA), funded by the Arts Council of Wales. Straeon was asked to help the WCA make sense of a number of ‘conversations’ commissioned by them, in order to find out from the people of Wales what they want from a ‘cultural contract’ with the Arts Council of Wales and its fundholders. Part of this work involved developing an understanding of what a cultural contract is, as this was a new concept. Conversations ranged considerably and included public consultations, interviews, surveys, arts workshops and forum meetings. We looked at all of the material produced by the conversations and wrote the findings up into a report, which was submitted to the WCA and the Arts Council of Wales.
